Customizing your Appearence

When you create an account, you will be presented with the Link Realms player creation screen. This is where all of your character's physical traits such as race, sex, hair or fur style and color, make-up, facial features, tail, and skin color etc. are chosen. Fortunately for those who later change their mind, all of these features can be adjusted or changed later using in-game tools and skills with varying difficulty.

Examining Characters

Once your character has entered the game-world, you may examine your character, other characters or creatures more closely by double-clicking on him/her, which opens a close-up view called the "paper doll". If you are examining another player, you can view a list of what items he or she is wearing by clicking on the "Examine" button on the bottom right of the paper doll. You may toggle the rotation of the characters you are examining by clicking the round icon in the lower left corner of the paper doll. Only one paper doll is allowed to be open at once.

Undressing Your Character

If you are viewing your own character's paper doll, the "Examine" button becomes "Remove", which allows you to select an article of clothing to take off. If you select "Remove All", all of your clothing, tools, jewelry and weapons will be removed at once. Anything you remove will be placed in your inventory.

Dressing Your Character:

We prefer to use the word “equip” to describe the act of putting on an article of clothing.
To equip your character, you can double-click on clothing or armor, or drag it onto your character’s paper doll.

Equipment Slots

Location:Clothing Type
Head:Hats or hoods.
Eyes:Glasses and masks.
Chest (inner):Simple shirts and undershirts.
Chest (outer):Armor, robes, jackets, and tunics.
Wrists:Bracelets and arm bands.
Hands:Gloves.
Neck:Necklaces and jewelry.
Back:Capes and coats.
Pack:Backpacks.

If you equip something new yet you were wearing something that occupied the same slot previously, you will drop the old item into your inventory and wear the new item automatically.
If an item of clothing is large and occupies several slots, such as a hooded robe which needs the Head, Chest (outer), and Legs (outer) slots, it replaces all of the items that would be found in those slots, such as your hat, jacket, and pants.
